Job Description
This position requires a person with expertise in IMS (practical & theoretical), along with direct experience implementing VoIP in fixed and/or wireless environments. This will be a very hands-on role. This person will need to be able to communicate effectively, be a strong advocate, and work to guide the solution delivered to meet the needs and requirements of YMax.
Job Requirement
1. POC for RAN vendor, as it relates to ASN Gateway
2. Manage team supporting the development of IMS solution
3. Manage the routing, switching of ASN-GW
4. Technical Interface to RAN & Core Vendors for IP Core, Data Center and Wireless Access routing, as well as traffic engineering and capacity management.
5. Provide Sign off recommendation on HLD, LLD, and test plan/test acceptance
6. Review/Create Reports and Test Report Analysis
7. Oversee Vendor Testing
Skills Required
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
2. 5 years Wireless Cellular experience.
3. IT routing/switching, traffic engineering experience
4. Minimum of 1 year direct WiMAX working experience, preferably in multi-vendor RAN environment.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of all relevant core network components (ASN, CSN, Radius, Diameter).
6. Working knowledge of Authentication and Encryption methods (Radius, SIM, Diameter).
7. Working knowledge WiMAX Standards.
8. Working knowledge of both UMTS and WiMAX core networks.
9. Experience in managing small, technical teams
10. Strong communication, written and oral, skills
11. Planning and organizing work.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist personnel of other departments.
2. Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members.
3. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
